How to verify a booking reference (PNR)
Every reservation HoldFare creates carries a booking reference – also called a PNR (Passenger Name Record). Anyone holding the reference and the passenger's last name can verify the booking online in a few seconds.
How to check a reservation
Open the Verify page, enter the booking reference (6 characters) and the passenger's last name exactly as written in the confirmation e-mail. The result shows the route, dates, hold expiry and number of passengers.
Why do consulates verify reservations?
Some embassies and visa centres check submitted reservations before deciding. Because a HoldFare booking is a real reservation in the airline's system, the reference in your application matches what they find – unlike screenshots or edited documents.
Airline websites vs. HoldFare verification
Most airlines only display reservations on their own websites once a ticket number exists. A hold has no ticket number, so the airline site may not show it. That is normal – verification works through HoldFare, where the booking is held.
What if the check fails?
Check that you typed the reference and last name exactly as in the confirmation e-mail, including hyphens and spelling. If it still fails, write to help@holdfare.com from the e-mail address used for the order.
