For visa applications and proof of onward travel

One booking reference, held for up to ten days

A genuine airline reservation in the traveller's name, held long enough to survive the wait at the consulate. It is not a ticket – no airline is paid and you cannot board with it. The same reference stays valid the whole time, so if anyone checks it later, they find the booking you submitted.

  • One reference – 48 hours, 5 days or 10 days
  • Held in the airline's own reservation system
  • Printable PDF in your inbox within 15 minutes, at any hour

How it works

How it works

  1. You choose how long you need the reservation held – 48 hours, 5 days or 10 days – and pay the service fee. Nothing else, ever.
  2. We create a real reservation with the airline in the traveller's name. No ticket is issued and the airline is never paid.
  3. The itinerary with the booking reference and a printable PDF arrives in your inbox within 15 minutes, at any hour. If you told us the date you need it for, we create it the day before instead.
  4. The reference does not change for as long as you bought. When the hold ends, the airline releases the booking and nothing is charged.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is this legal?

Yes. A reservation without a ticket is a standard industry product – airlines themselves offer fare holds. You submit a real booking made in your name; you do not submit a forged document.

Will the consulate accept it?

A reservation is the document consulates ask for as proof of onward travel. The decision is always theirs, and no service can influence it – but the booking is genuine, made in the airline's own reservation system, and verifiable through us at any time (see the next question).

Can I check the reservation myself?

Often not on the airline's website: most airlines only display reservations once a ticket is issued, so an unpaid booking is invisible there. That is normal airline behaviour, not a defect. The reliable way to verify is through us – send the booking reference to help@holdfare.com and we confirm the reservation, its route and its validity directly to you or to the authority asking.

Why not just renew a shorter reservation?

Because renewing means cancelling the old booking and creating a new one with a new reference. When a consulate checks weeks later, it looks up the number on the document you submitted – and that number no longer exists. We hold one single reference for the entire period you paid for, so the document you submit still checks out months later.

What if you cannot create the reservation?

You are refunded automatically, in full, within minutes. If a departure is too close for the airline to hold, the form tells you before you pay – never after.

Can I board the flight with it?

No. It is a reservation, not a ticket. No airline is paid, no seat is yours, and you cannot check in or board with it. To fly, buy a ticket separately.

Do I need a hotel reservation too?

Some consulates ask for one. We do not sell hotel reservations yet – we say so plainly rather than quietly. If you need one, arrange it separately.
